AUDIT AND DISCOVERY


A complete discovery and audit of all affected systems will be performed. The acceptance criteria, project plan, support training, and communications required for this project will be discussed, agreed upon and documented. The audit/discovery documentation will be submitted to the customer, regardless of future integration opportunities.



DESIGN AND SCOPE


This phase integrates the design requirements of the customer with best practice methodologies and recommendations. Implementation timeframes and possible down time scenarios are addressed and communicated. The scope document details the responsibilities of Baker Network Consulting and the responsibilities of the customer. It is used as a baseline for discussion to bring the customer and Baker Network Consulting to a unified view of what will transpire during project implementation.

COMMUNICATION PLAN


Baker Network Consulting strongly believes that communication is a crucial piece of any successful network implementation project. In this industry, we have to do an exceptional job of setting expectations to make sure the project is successful. The communication plan helps to manage issues before they become critical. It addresses 3 key elements.


  Contact points and escalation paths for issues encountered during implementation.
  Management and end-user messages that will explain the project and announcements to     inform employees of changes.
  Creation of the Scope of Work (SOW) document that identifies significant tasks, outlines the     responsibilities of both parties, and provides a complete project plan with goals, objectives,     due dates, and critical path elements.


IMPLEMENTATION


This is the actual delivery of work documented in the design and scope phase. It is our privilege to deliver to our customers their ideal solution—on time and within the scope of work.


DOCUMENTATION AND TRAINING


Each network implementation project is unique. As such, Baker Network Consulting provides documentation gathered during the audit/discovery and implementation phases for customers to reference in the future. Depending on the nature of the network implementation project, training, and curriculum development may also be included.


CLOSURE AND ACCEPTANCE


This phase is addressed when all items noted during the Scope of Work (SOW) document have been implemented and delivered. This phase brings the network implementation project to a close.


ONGOING SUPPORT


Baker Network Consulting is unique in its approach to post-implementation support. Our unique service model provides a single point of contact for all customer-related issues through its full service help desk and network operations center. This service provides system administration and end user support to our customers. This allows our customer to speak to a pool of technicians that will solve their problem rather than relying on the engineer that completed the project.
